2024 ATA ANNUAL MEETING

~ CELEBRATING 75 YEARS OF CONNECTING ALASKANS ~

1949 - 2024

2024 ATA Annual meeting

ATA is celebrating 75 years of working together to provide communication services across some of the most remote, spectacular areas on Earth, starting with telephone service back in the 1940’s and continuing today with high-speed broadband.

Heading back to the place where it all started, our Annual Meeting will be hosted in Sitka, Alaska. This sea-side community along the west side of Baranaof Island in southeast Alaska, is flanked on the east by majestic snow-capped mountains, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Please join us in celebrating 75 years of Alaskans connecting Alaskans!

Lodging

ATA has contracted room blocks at two hotels in Sitka: the Westmark Sitka Hotel and the Aspen Suites Hotel. However, these will not host all of the attendees we are hoping to have join us. Below you will also find other smaller hotels in Sitka. All are within walking distance of the hotels.

Westmark Sitka Hotel

Situated near the harbor and across from the Harrigan Centennial Hall in downtown Sitka, the Westmark Sitka Hotel offers rooms with beautiful views of Mt. Edgecombe and Sitka Sound. Enjoy dinner at the onsite Raven Dining Room or the more casual Kadataan Lounge. Make reservations by calling (907) 747-6241 and using the code TELECOM to access the ATA room block. Reservations must be made by March 18, 2024.

Aspen Suites Hotel Sitka

Located in the heart of downtown Sitka, the Aspen Suites Hotel is adjacent to shopping and restaurants. It’s an easy 5 minute walk to the Harrigan Centennial Hall. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 907-747-3477 and ask for the AKTA24 block of rooms. Reservations must be made by April 27, 2024.

Additional Hotels in Sitka

Although ATA contracted with the two previous hotels for guest rooms, these will not host all of the attendees that we are hoping to have join us.

A full listing of hotels and lodges is available at the Visit Sitka website. Many of these are within easy walking distance of the Harrigan Centennial Hall, where ATA will host the conference.
